Martha Penturf hits The slopes

Literally  -- I hit the slopes hard.   A maritime girl should be able to survive the worst the winter has to bring but I bounced and slid and bounced some more down the slopes at Sunshine.  

Luckily the nightlife in Banff makes it all feel better.  

The hill looks cold and foreboding, but looking over a glass of Barolo it makes it all worthwhile. 

Martha Penturf Needs a Vacation

Yes --I always want a vacation-- but now I NEED a vacation.... or something.. It seems like my life is in a rut and I need to change it up. 

Of course I would like to go to the beach.. or drink wine in tuscany.. or go to a music festival... or sit in NYNY and watch people walk by for five days.... or hike in the rockies.. or get chased by a bear.. or get shipwrecked.. The last two I was losing it but the bottom line is I need something to jack me out of a rut..

This rare leatherback turtle was found 20 miles from the ocean in the Shubenacadie River.
He looks pissed.  But he is lost, stuck on a sand bar and being gawked at by tourists.
Martha Penturf is tired of the hospital, stuck in a rut --- ok..I am not being gawked at.   I have to work the weekend and this does not make me happy.   Happy Friday!!!!!

Annual Halifax Zombie Walk
Yesterday the annual Halifax Zombie walk was held and a good time was had by all.   Joan Doug and the long lost Giorgio  all showed up to peruse the flesh eating dead first hand...  I wondered what it would take for us to get Giorgio to see sunshine.
